Francesca from UAU design studio recently us one of their completed projects. SOSUSHI is a fresh take away restaurant located in the beautiful historical urban city of Torino, Italy.
The previous space was an old stationary store which UAU transformed it into a modern sushi bar. SOSUSHI was designed with a special focus on maximizing a small space with the clever use of materials and furniture which includes smart shelving, benches and cubbies. White is used as a clean canvas in this space where a vibrant magenta and Plexwood take center stage. The white sushi bar is very fresh and super hip – Love It!

The Arthur is a grandiose modern round dinning table that fits up to 12 people very comfortably. It symbolizes unity, power, equality and joy in its unique modern interpretation of King Arthur’s round table. Dirk Wynants designed Arthur for any setting. It could be used as a dinning table or an elegant business meeting table. It’s a classic piece that could look great in any modern space.
The white table is made of a high pressure white laminate with an interesting contrasting border. Love the design.

Wow! The 40-foot exterior façade is comfortably striking with pillow-like concrete tiles. I’m absolutely feeling the patches of green that play with the small windows in the front.
Once inside, you’re wooed by the impeccable wall applications and creative textures. The interior walls are quite unique, including custom wallpaper inspired by ancient Korean ceramics. Mirrors are perfectly used to create play and open up the space.
The use of White with touches of Gold really sets the stage for showcasing 3.1 Phillip Lim creations in a very bold and beautiful setting. The oak floor brilliantly transitions through a gradient of grey tones. I really appreciate the herringbone floor pattern which really expands on the visual integrity of the spaces.
By Leong Leong Architecture:
“We conceived of the façade and interior walls as being lined with evocative textures, a characteristic of Phillip Lim’s design sensibility. It was during this part of the design process that we collaborated very closely with Phillip. The material liners create a narrative of atmospheres from one space to another, each offering an unexpected encounter with the clothing.”
