Basil Triptych Suspension Lamps

Basil Triptych Suspension Lamps

by LWW on June 19, 2013

Check out this beautiful product concept by Enrico Zanolla – the Basil Triptych Suspension Lamps were inspired by the iconic onion domes of Saint Basil’s Cathedral, one of the most recognizable and architecturally profound rooftops in the entire world.

The designer retains the sense of movement and liveliness of the cathedral domes with a sleek finish, rich texture, and fluid lines. Shadows would move across the dynamic surface of each white ceramic lampshade to create additional depth and detail in the absence of color.

These modern lamps may not be for sale just yet, but we can still dream about how we’d use them if they were!

What do you think? Though the Basil Triptych Suspension Lamps look elegant enough to stand alone, we think they would make a wonderfully clever lighting arrangement, perhaps over a large dining table.
