White Usuki House by Architect Associates Tonoma

This is such an interesting two-storey home located in Himeji Hyougo Japan. The livable space is compact, crisp and very fresh. Every room placement has been cleverly thought out to deliver ample natural lighting and modern functional living.

Tonoma did a wonderful job with the use of white and wood which is always a winning combo. The intersecting parts give the white Usuki house a personality of its own. I can just imagine how the interior would look with the right furnishings and accessories.

The white house really stands out from a distance which makes it that much more special. You also gotta love the interesting contrast between old and new architecture.

Angel's Edge Project House by Brian Messana

Good modern architecture is all about being in perfect harmony with the surroundings. The Angel’s Edge Project is truly one of a kind. Brian Messana designed an incredible modern beach house concept that would make any neighbor envious.

Although the project hasn’t been completed and is still a prototype, the architecture is remarkable. Messana cleverly took inspiration from the ocean’s waves and the landscape’s rippled slope where the house seems to flow with it’s natural environment effortlessly. The home balances organic architecture with sharp edges and wavy incline.

The unique house is interesting from all around – It almost disappears naturally into the Pacific Ocean. Breathtaking!

Enjoy more of the Angel’s Edge House and architect Brian Messana.

If your feeling this project, you’ll definitely love the modern white home set at the foot of a steep escarpment in Ireland.

Modern White Home in Ireland by ODOS architects

This remarkable white home is set at the foot of a steep escarpment in the Wicklow Hills in Ireland. The bold white architecture has just the right touch of color – notably the red columns below and the visually appealing paneling on the side of the house.

This is an amazing modern home that works wonderfully in partnership with Mother Nature. I’m appreciating the large windows, open spaces and of course – the White!

3.1 Phillip Lim Seoul Flagship Store by Leong Leong Architecture

Wow! The 40-foot exterior façade is comfortably striking with pillow-like concrete tiles. I’m absolutely feeling the patches of green that play with the small windows in the front.

Once inside, you’re wooed by the impeccable wall applications and creative textures. The interior walls are quite unique, including custom wallpaper inspired by ancient Korean ceramics. Mirrors are perfectly used to create play and open up the space.

The use of White with touches of Gold really sets the stage for showcasing 3.1 Phillip Lim creations in a very bold and beautiful setting. The oak floor brilliantly transitions through a gradient of grey tones. I really appreciate the herringbone floor pattern which really expands on the visual integrity of the spaces.

By Leong Leong Architecture:

“We conceived of the façade and interior walls as being lined with evocative textures, a characteristic of Phillip Lim’s design sensibility. It was during this part of the design process that we collaborated very closely with Phillip. The material liners create a narrative of atmospheres from one space to another, each offering an unexpected encounter with the clothing.”
