I’ve always admired white sofas in gorgeous minimal spaces in magazine spreads. There’s something so ‘big time’ and bold about a white sofa, especially in a large space. Maybe it’s because a white sofa gives the illusion of being a little harder to maintain, which isn’t always the case. The right white sofa can actually be much more forgiving.

Knoop, Dutch for ‘knot’, is a one of a kind white coffee table designed by Josh Urso that just peaked my curiosity. It’s quite an interesting design once you give it closer look. The base of the modern coffee table is made of over 400 feet of off-white rope that’s been impregnated with resin and arranged into a compact table base. Such a simple yet complex design!

Together they’ve modernized Chesterfield – turned it into an outdoor sofa! In addition, they’ve added an outdoor armchair to the collection. Since we’re talking Chesterfield, we posted the Blofield Inflatable Chesterfield Sofa on FOKaL some time ago – definitely worth a look. It can be taken out for entertaining and easily stored when not in use!

I would love to have a Jottable white table in our office – ah the possibilities! The cool thing about this table is that you can doodle your thoughts, memos and anything that comes to mind directly onto it. The top of this modern desk has dry erase capabilities, it also offers nests for your markers and such – brilliant! Francois Chambard from UM created this functional table for the Brooklyn Brothers ad agency in London.
