Mixing eras is understandably difficult, but architect Antonio Rico did a fantastic job rehabilitating this 18th century historical home in Bordeaux with a unique fusion of classic and modern white design.
The Apartment F feels like a performance – new and old revel in a vibration of cross-generational energy. For example, the kitchen features antique Louis chairs surrounding an gorgeous contemporary table. The Kartell Ghost version of the Louis chair sits off to the side for added effect.
The white living room is nothing short of spectacular. The moldings and decorative panels are original but restored, with details by the renowned architect Victor Louis circa 1760. Updated furniture mixes eras yet again, this time with contemporary couches paired with the Noguchi Table in all of its late 40s glory.
Everything about the Apartment F tells a story – the overall interior feels unified, but each individual element carries with it a very important reminder of the evolution and revolutions in interior design.
