Stunning Victorian House on Bassett Road

Stunning Victorian House on Bassett Road

by LWW on March 29, 2012

This gorgeous House on Bassett Road makes modern design whimsical again. Paul+O Architects worked wonders on this late Victorian home, beginning with simple yet effective neutral palette and knocking it out of this world.

Textures rule this white design wilderness. Natural wooden chairs, rough woven rugs, fur throws… These exotic accents make the smooth surfaces and simplistic furnishings seem so full of character. The interior is spacious, but sculptures and hanging artwork help set a cozy scene. As you can see, bold prints were not necessary – every line, every thread plays a part in a very delicate balance.

Can you spot the cool lamps? There are quite a few neat lighting sources in this incredible home. Our favorites are the blooming table light and mushroom-like floor lamp, so smooth and functional but unobtrusive.

We would love to hear about your favorite parts of the House on Bassett Road in the comment section; let us know what inspires you.
