We love how Chiara Ferrari Studio creates spaces that couple modern cleanliness with industrial sensibility. The Clink Street Flat exemplifies this sophisticated union perfectly – it’s no wonder why we’re so fascinated by this humble abode!

The apartment features an open white interior, softened by the unique choice of light sandy fawn as a warm accent color. One of the most interesting parts of this modern design has to be the use of steel; the long tube lights and mechanical legs of the Eames chairs bring out the best of the sleek fixtures while adding a bright, reflective property to the canvas of white.

Every detail plays an important role in this home, no matter the size –the incredible mahogany C Table (designed by Chiara Ferrari) to the vibrant paintings and even the expertly coordinated outlet covers all contribute something to the relaxing atmosphere. Nothing is wasted.

Decked out in a smooth charcoal and white interior and with decor elements kept to a minimum, the Roosendale Residence takes simplicity to an inspiring level. We love how Ooomen Architecten used materials, lines, and proportion to make such a powerful statement – you could definitely consider this a purist approach to modern design.

Our favorite space in this contemporary residence is the living room – it consists of two distinct areas, a soft white and gray social seating area and cozy leather-and-calfskin spot for fireplace gazing. The dried branches add a nice organic touch without imposing on the monochromatic color scheme. In the next room, dark wood divides the seating from preparation areas. These two rooms alone should give plenty of ideas about how to separate functional spaces while maintaining a sense of cohesion.

The luxurious Villa O is surely one of the most comfortable ways to enjoy Cap Ferrat – especially if you plan to spend plenty of time lounging at the poolside with an uninterrupted view of the incredible Côte d’Azur.

Each suite is different; the two boldest rooms featuring modern design statement pieces such as the decorative divider walls that function as artful headboards – soft red upholstery in one room, and a menacing Scarface print in the other. A glass-encased elevator will take you to the second floor of the Villa O, although we’d probably take the winding spiral staircase just to get a glimpse at a fabulous mural by the elusive Banksy.

The second floor communal area is decked out in a cool cobalt blue and white interior to echo the seascape seen through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The indoor dining area is just as beautiful – the view of the hillsides brought to life by a Robert Sonneman-inspired chandelier in a subtle rustic neutral.

The Ippolito Fleitz Group was commissioned to complete the Quant 1 Residential Project as a way to highlight the fine features and interior capabilities of a designer apartment marketed toward single women.

The refined structural subtleties of these luxurious apartments must have played a part to inspire the soft neutral and white interior palette, expressed through layer upon layer of fine textiles such as full velour carpet and chesterfield-upholstered walls.

We love how the ethereal coffee-colored curtains, delicate spherical chandeliers, and curvaceous staircase work together to create a dramatic but cozy social area despite the expansive size of the room.

The airy white interior of the RPG Loft is a perfect reminder that warmth plays a critical role in a comfortable home – although industrial simplicity is what makes this space unique, the welcoming atmosphere just would not be the same without those delightful repetitions of warm wood, rough brick, and smooth stone.

Major features like furniture, cabinetry, and even track lighting are arranged in a pleasant linear fashion that draws the eye without forcing it to settle. Carefully chosen points of contrast such as the unique geometric coffee table and vivid red couch grouping add functional visual interest – a subtle but important anchoring features considering the powerful flow of the other modern design elements.

Lively splashes of primary color punctuate this would-be monochromatic white modern interior in the form of pillows, paintings, and a pair of small molded red stools. This theme of colorful accents repeats in the most unexpected of places – for example, a tiny bird figurine perched inconspicuously in a houseplant, which we can only imagine brings surprise and delight to the faces of unsuspecting visitors. If you prefer your home design to be sleek and contemporary, but not too spare, then you’ll truly enjoy the Interior on Russel Hill by gh3 architects. This home, once a drab 1970s residence, now looks fantastically up-to-date with the clarity of crisp white interior and powerful contrasting natural materials.

Painted surfaces are definitely in the majority, but clean white Corian makes high-traffic and working areas resistant to wear and tear. The living room, set off by a stellar spiral staircase, takes advantage of geometry to create a breathtakingly balanced effect – curvy chairs by Jacobsen and Cherner bring retro-elegance to an otherwise blocky and organized space.

Richly stained black floors lead visitors through cozy offices, a relaxing square-tiled bath, and past massive light-flooded windows – all primarily decorated in step with the modern design of the rest of the home.

You gotta check this one out! The white modern interior of the Casa Vilar is calm, inviting, and oh-so-enviable – but the fine details are what really set this place off.

Furniture is the obvious focus – oversized, unique, shapely piece dominate the expansive white interior landscape. The effect is a cozy space, not too crowded, made comfortable by sensible furnishings that define purpose for each room. The dining area is a great example – organic neutral chairs, a huge table, and a bold floor lamp take up most of the space, but light walls and simple forms keep the atmosphere cohesive and airy.

We wish we knew which talented Portuguese designer is behind this spectacular home – but until we find out, we are perfectly content with admiring the Casa Vilar from a purely aesthetic point of view.

The Munge Leung Architect firm designed the Ice Condominiums sales office to be a temporary structure, but numerous awards for the spectacular modern design ensures that this short-lived but fascinating building will never be forgotten.

The white interior features smooth geometry, taking advantage of varied planes to create an outstanding iceberg effect – almost reminiscent of the Scandinavian ice-bars that inspired the condominium’s design. This space is divided into groupings that demonstrate various aspects of the condo units, including a fabulous kitchen vignette (we love that white Umbra wine rack!) and cozy bedroom with artfully textured walls.

The Ice Condominiums Sales Office may have only been temporary, but that incredible space-saving, ultra-social design is definitely inspiring and, dare we say, timeless.
