The Curvaceous Mop House by AGI Architects

The Curvaceous Mop House by AGI Architects

We love the Mop House for the unique architecture and the beautiful white interior it contains. Rooms are open and spacious – the transition between functional areas is nearly seamless and follows a smooth course along the curvature of the home.

The living room is our favorite. Rich gold and hints of rosy red give the space an exotic touch but simple black and white furnishings are true to this home’s emphasis on clean modern design. While the rest of the home features sleek timber floors, a large distinctive rug defines this important social hub.

Peering through the floor to ceiling windows and across the pool, you can see the formal dining area at the other end of the u-shaped house. We love the gray-and-gold place settings – but the elegant Flip dining chairs (by Carlo Columbo) are a great way to finish the look.

The highly functional kitchen and breakfast table are accessible by traversing a staircase dripping with midcentury modern pendant lights. The bedrooms share this floor, one to each corner of the home.

The lively, organic Mop House is the work of the award-winning team at AGI Architects.
